Hi I am Amy Harper, a mom of 5 free range kids here at 3rd Acre Farm.
After having four kids in five years, I hung up my chef coat to focus on raising my little ones, but I missed the joy of creating delicious meals from quality ingredients. In 2021, when the opportunity came to take over a microgreens business, we moved it to our 3-acre homestead just outside downtown Brooksville. It was a blessing to turn my passion for food into a way to stay home with my kids, and in 2025, we’ll celebrate our 5th year farming!
Though many weren’t familiar with microgreens at first, people quickly fell in love with their bold flavors and health benefits. We also expanded into pasture-raised poultry. Our meat birds are rotated daily on fresh pasture in chicken tractors, while our egg layers roam freely.
Since we know how hard it can be to eat local with a busy schedule I put my chef skills back to work, creating recipes and products like pesto kits, bone broth, and muffin mixes that make it easy to add flavor and nutrition to any meal.
We’ve also partnered with other like-minded farmers to make it more convenient for you to enjoy fresh, locally grown food all year long.
At 3rd Acre Farm, we believe in sustainability, local partnerships, and educating future generations about food and farming. Our kids help out every step of the way, from planting to harvest, and we give back to local organizations promoting agricultural education.
